If there is one thing the left has mastered it is hypocrisy. They have literally gotten so good at it that I swear many of them seem oblivious to the fact that they are doing it: hypocrisy is second nature to the left. Examples abound. Here is another such gem:
A Black gay huffpost writer telling White gay men that having a preference for White men is “racist”.
“You can’t say you prefer one race of people as romantic partners, or anything really, to another because all of the people who belong to one race are not the same. No matter how you slice it, it’s racist. . .”
Donovan goes on to declare that gay black and asian men get a pass from his rule because “our desire to date within our own race, when we choose to, is not rooted in any assertion made by society that we’re better than anyone else.”
“I know this is a lot to digest so I’ll just boil it down to this,” he continues, “if your preference for a partner supports an existing racial hierarchy which marginalizes minorities, then your preferences are racist. And yes, that includes you rice queens and chocolate chasers too. Fetishizing me is not a compliment, it’s propping up harmful sexual stereotypes and, it too, is racist.” (source).
Let’s forget for a moment the hypocrisy in his argument that this rule only applies to White men, and that Blacks and other non-Whites are free to have preferences in favor of their own race. That is a sad, but all too familiar hypocriacy that is carried out in all sorts of contexts and forms every day, and ensconced in the very ideological foundations of the left. We talk about it all the time, and will continue to talk about it much more in the future.
Let’s talk about something else today:
While this Donovan Trott character is busy opining on the supposed vices of sexual preferences, he seems to have completely forgotten that he is writing as part of, and to other members of, a group that is defined by none other than their sexual preferences. Homosexuals prefer members of their own sex to members of the opposite sex. How exactly is that different from a White person saying they are only interested in having sex with a White person?
If Trott is correct, than the very notion of being homosexual should make one sexist. For a man to say that he is only interested in having sex with men or vis versa, should be a violation of Trotts argument that such preferences are bad because not all members of the group are the same.
Moreover, Trott’s hypocritical treatment of Whites and non-Whites is hypocritical in another way also: if Whites alone are not to have the right to have sexual preferences for their own race because that reinforces the mythical “White privilege,” etc., than surely Trott would have to concede that homosexuality—while it might not be sexist for women—should be absolutely out of bounds for men like himself. After all, having a preference for men over women must surely reinforced the “patriarchy” and “male privilege” just as much as Whites having such preferences reinforces “White supremacy.”
So the question is: Why is the left so supportive of a lifestyle that (according to their arguments) is inherently sexist, and which, when practiced by men (whose practice of it they support) reinforces patriarchy and male privilege?
Don’t the feminists have anything to say about this? Oh what’s that? This whole discussion is “homophobic”? Sigh, when will they get it. . .
